One thing is especially important to ensure that cordless tools do not run out of steam in the middle of sanding or drilling: powerful recharging technology. Bosch produces two systems: The universal 14.4 V system and lithium ion technology.

Small, light and powerful: Lithium ion rechargeable batteries
Lithium ion rechargeable batteries are well known in laptops or mobile phones. Their advantage is their small size, low weight and high performance. The new "Prio" multigrinder and "IXO" cordless powerdriver use this rechargeable technology. Since the rechargeables hardly lose any power when idle, power tools with lithium ion batteries provide full performance even when they have not been used for months.

One for all – the rechargeable system
Bosch has created an especially flexible energy system to ensure that rechargeable tools can be used as efficiently as possible: the 14.4 Volt system. One rechargeable battery and one recharger fit a whole family of tools – for instance the cordless powerdriver, cordless piercing saw or the cordless pressure pump.
